77 - investing in amazingly successful planning

You may have noticed that this is investment note seventy-seven in the Monday afternoon series.

How do you think scientists, such as myself, should plan and prepare?

What do you know about planning in relation to good policies?

Good planning requires good research, of course.

How do you think business practitioners should plan and prepare?

How do you think heterosexual sexual partners should plan and prepare?

If you are a genetic parent, with or without aggressive tendencies, and you deliberately chose to bring offspring into the world, through whatever means you did so, you have practiced eugenic narcissism.

Do you know much about eugenic narcissism?

Any desire to continue a dynasty expresses eugenic narcissism.

The intention to provide one's own offspring with advantages to the detriment of other people is also an expression of eugenic narcissism.

Many cultural practices associated with grandparenting also reflect eugenic narcissism.

Any male person placing his sperm in a sperm bank or into a reluctant female is expressing eugenic narcissism.

All sexual violence is reflective of cruelty, and possibly even eugenic narcissism, regardless of the sex of the perpetrator.  Yet such cruelty continues to be far too common, particularly in terms of male behaviour.

Regardless of your gender or sex, any desire to pass on your own genes is a form of eugenic narcissism.  It expresses the selfish belief that the world is better through the continuation of your genes, and your parents' and grandparents' genes, in the gene pool.

If you are a male person and you never really wanted to become a father but you failed to prevent yourself from becoming one, why was it impossible for you to use a condom or obtain a vasectomy or abstain from sexual activity or otherwise take responsibility for your actions?

What was so difficult about checking the facts beforehand?

What sort of indoctrination did you receive beforehand, and from whom?

The conception of (particular types of) offspring is often encouraged by advocates of the market economy and/or a gene-based ideology and/or a particular religious belief.

The desire to abort a family foetus as a consequence of its lack of a y chromosome is eugenic narcissism.

The desire to abort a family foetus as a consequence of its possession of a y chromosome is eugenic narcissism, too.

How do you to tell the difference between euthenics and eugenics?

I am an advocate of philanthropic euthenics and enlightened economics.  I am not an advocate of any type of eugenics.

I am an advocate of a suitably mixed economy, not a selfish market economy or a fear-inducing planned economy.
